Considering the characteristics and machi ning difficulties of integral components circumferential blade, the design of ca thode with a insulated cavity is carried out. Two three dimensional models of t he flow field are built, and the finite element method is applied to the flow fiel d simulation. Analyses of the results show that the inlet of electrolyte from the side of blade basin and back with an optimized outlet is better, flow rate is higher and the uniformity of flow field is better. The experiment is carried out based on the cathode which is designed by simulation results. Experime n tal results show that the simulation results are accurate, the process is st eady and the machining efficiency is higher.
